privacy policy
What information CSJADE handles, why, and the control you have. We keep it small on purpose.
This policy explains what information CSJADE handles when you use the site, why, and what control you have. We keep this deliberately small: we only handle what we need to run your orders, and we never receive your Steam password or username.
What we handle
When you sign in with Steam and place orders, we process:
- Your SteamID — the public account identifier Steam returns when you sign in.
- Your public Steam profile — display name and avatar, shown back to you in the header.
- Your Steam trade URL — so we can send or receive trade offers.
- Your orders — the items, prices, status, and timestamps for what you buy or sell.
- Payment details — the coin, amount, and the transaction ID (TXID) you send; and, when you sell, the payout cryptocurrency address you give us.
- A session cookie — a single cookie that keeps you signed in. It carries no advertising or tracking data.
We do not receive or store your Steam password or username — sign-in happens entirely on Steam's own systems (see below). We don't ask for your real name, address, or government ID.
How sign-in works
You sign in using Steam's official OpenID. You enter your Steam credentials on Steam's website, never on ours. Steam verifies the login on its own servers and only tells us that the sign-in is genuine and which SteamID it belongs to. We then confirm that verification directly with Steam before trusting it.
Why we handle it
We use this information to fulfil your orders (deliver or receive skins, send or confirm payments), to keep you signed in, to show you your order history, and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who it's shared with
- Steam / Valve — to verify your sign-in and read your public profile and inventory.
- Reference price markets — we query them for prices, but we don't send them your personal information.
- The public blockchain — crypto transactions are, by nature, recorded on a public ledger. That's inherent to how cryptocurrency works.
We don't otherwise share your information, except where we're legally required to.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't run advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep order and payment records for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, and meet any obligations. Cached profile and inventory data is short-lived and refreshes automatically.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to certain processing. To make a request, get in touch with your order details so we can identify your records.
Children
CSJADE is intended for people who are legally able to hold a Steam account and use cryptocurrency. It is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
